They were experiencing "technical difficulties" with the video call, which I didn't believe because they had my phone number and email too and they could easily have sent a "sorry we're having problems" message during the 30 mins the appointment lasted.
I tried to join that meeting for 30 full minutes because it disconnects you out after 5mins of not being let in, so I joined at least 6 times and tried different methods in case it was something with my setup.
It was only after an email to their support telling them that they failed to show up that I quickly received a phone call. But I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and they asked if I was ok to have the appointment now without video, so I went ahead.
And then they told me I'd have to go to the premises in person anyway, and that the price was more than what others were asking despite their website's "best price guaranteed" statement. The appointment was supposed to be so I didn't have to physically go to the store. I get that they probably started that service during peak Covid, but if you're going to continue advertising the service, continue the service.
I'm going to be fuming about this for the rest of the day. I just needed to get that out in the hopes it won't be all day that I fume.
