I'm looking to get a hold of Water Kefir Grains but $20 plus shipping seems a bit steep (sopuli.xyz)

Plus if I'd prefer to buy/share locally. Any advice for finding either a local supplier or someone that wouldn't mind giving me a sample of their starter?

Would bottled water kefir be a suitable starter the way unpasteurized bottled kombucha can?
