What’s that?
Terf stands for "Trans exclusionary Radical feminist", which is a type of feminist that pushes for women's rights, but doesn't support transgender rights, and thinks MtF transgender people don't count as women.
A lot of people have boycotted Hogwarts legacy because of her political views. Personally, I think it's a bit extreme to boycott a great game made by a studio and developers that have nothing to do with her views just because she gets royalties on it, but that's a matter of personal opinion
There was nothing like that in the HP books because the HP books were written by someone who is extremely anti-trans. It sounds like (although I've not played it) they put a trans character in to distance themselves from the IP holder's views. It's not really that they forced it there, they put one there to signify that they aren't about that...
Then from what I understand put a bunch of anti-Semitic shit in their game. Either way, I can't recommend picking up Hogwarts Legacy. The IP seems shallow, the ideals that the game pushes seem toxic, the IP's ideals seem toxic, and overall, there are better things to spend money on than toxic AF people.

@HellAwaits that’s skipping over the fact that they stated that they didn’t support the game EXPLICITLY because there was trans representation. Clearly they have an issue if representation gets under their skin so much. I mean I hate Nazis, but I still play Wolfenstein.
In fact, I've met more people who are massively into Linux and right-wing extremists thinking that Bill Gates is controlling the spy network through windows or some shit than I have left-wing extremists that are massively into Linux.

@headlesscyborg if I gave any fucks what you or anyone else thought would I be free enough to look how I want? You can always see those with small egos because they think that attacking someone’s appearance is an effective strategy. I would expect absolutely no less from a complete bigot like you.
