It's like all the good advice got monetized and now all that's left is wage slavery or a creative path to getting your chin above water.
Unfortunately, I learned this after I took on a few thousand in student debt. It took a hell of a lot of work, and it certainly isn't for everyone, but I'm now a self-taught front-end web dev making a decent salary. The trick is to learn some kind of skill and know it like the back of your hand.
