Hey everyone, wanted to throw up another thread to talk bean and roaster recs. Wanted to try something new!

I just got a Brazilian Rose Diamond coffee from a local roaster. It’s super earthy and tea like with rose. Been loving it!

I live in China and buy local beans exclusively, China isn't particularly well known for being a bean producer - and most people here don't drink coffee, though it's growing - but down in Yunnan, in the border region to Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar are a bunch of farmers and roasters, and they make excellent stuff.

Unfortunately none of them have any websites and are only available via Chinese social media or messaging apps, but if you come across any Yunnan roasts by chance, give it a try!

Sounds awesome! I'm sure there's a lot of cross-pollination with Vietnamese coffee but I'd love to try some Yunnan roast. My wife just brought back a bundle of beans from Vietnam and it was a real treat.

Chinese and Vietnamese coffees aren't worlds apart, but I'd say there still is some difference at least. Love Vietnamese in general though, friend of mine is a farmer there with his own roastery, always a highlight to visit when I'm around.
