Nature and Gardening

All things green, outdoors, and nature-y. Whether it's animals in their natural habitat, hiking trails and mountains, or planting a little garden for yourself (and everything in between), you can talk about it here.

See also our Environment community, which is focused on weather, climate, climate change, and stuff like that.

(It's not mandatory, but we also encourage providing a description of your image(s) for accessibility purposes! See here for a more detailed explanation and advice on how best to do this.)

I love testing the limits of my cell phone, and my skills with it.

This is a close up of a mushroom of no certain type. Taken with a Galaxy S21, I believe (little older photo) 1920x4224(maybe?)

Also, yes, I used this for my avatar image. It's really just a personal favorite!

I saw your pfp on another post and wanted to get a closer look at the gills, then immediately saw this post. Beautiful mushroom!

Hey, thanks so much! I wish I had the original on this phone, but I've not taken the time to find that old SD card, so this will have to suffice for now!

I'd love to post all kinds more, but I have no clue what I'm reeeeeally doing, and where I should or shouldn't be doing it!

I'd say go ahead and post more here - this community is currently a pretty big tent, and if you've got plants or animals or outdoors you want to post about this is good place for them. If we get overwhelmed down the line we can always fission off more communities but I personally don't think we're near to that point yet.
