I guess I'm lucky. It is quite smooth, but sure better to not pull out my phone.

Without my phone I'm paying even less attention. I need to play a game or something.

Same thing when reading a book. I have to listen to music (without lyrics) to keep my brain focussed

I gave up on watching movies and TV because of this. What's the point when it becomes a chore after the first 2 minutes to keep watching lol, and I just forget what happened by the next day anyway.

I can relate to this. It's more like "listening to movies and series" for me. My eyes are on my phone, playing a mini game or looking at memes

I’m okay with movies and tv shows. But it takes me hours to listen to a 30 minute podcast unless I’m doing absolutely nothing else BUT listening to that podcast

Often I'm fascinated how different ADHD can be. I'm the exact opposite: I need to do things to be able to listen to a podcast. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to focus more than a minute.

Doesn't matter which things I'm doing as long I don't have to read or write. Cleaning, riding a bike, play a game.

I can only listen to podcasts while doing something else. Just the idea of sitting and listening is uncomfortable

Movies are invariably phone or swich time, at least at home. The spectacle of the theater helps a lot for me tho. Going out and making a whole thing of it, in an environment where distractions are forbidden, makes it a lot easier to focus.

Very common sign. I also did not notice communtname before commenting.

Which is a common sign, too. Hehe

...and I was playing it at doublespeed.

I wish there were a double speed option in streaming apps.

Podcasts are so much easier to follow when they speak faster

Apps I can't do much about, but as for browsers, I downloaded this extension a while back so I could watch YouTube videos at higher than 2x (it can go up to 16x, in adjustable increments down to 0.01x (default 0.05, I set it to 0.1)), and quickly discovered that it works on all sites that play video, including Netflix and Disney+, which has been very handy. If you use a Chromium-based browser, there's no doubt an equivalent -- I just found it through the highly scientific method of typing "video speed control extension" into Google, installing the first couple hits, picking which one I liked best, and uninstalling the others.
