Actually, any defendant in criminal proceedings can refuse to show up to sentencing. Most just don't skip them, as you can plead with the judge for a lighter sentence or just say random shit you want without most trial rules applying.

You know what’s way easier, less evil, and won’t land you in jail? Finding someone legally aged and trying to dating them. I don’t understand this “kink” and will never believe that people are born pedos.

They are two very different things.
Natural attraction can be dealt with in therapy but most people won't come forward about it. As if it gets out their life would be over.
