For context, I have around 14k albums that I'd love to share and keep the stream flowing, but I have a couple of problems.

A.) My PC isn't always on, which isn't the biggest issue but I know a source just being inches away from being offline is painful.

and the more important issue, B.) Soulseek genuinely slaughters my PC resources at high album counts. I have a decent gaming PC, not some budget machine. Is there a way to limit it's intake?

I really do want to share my collection, but I don't have the money to set up a seedbox equivalent just for uploading music. Any help would be appreciated :)

I have ~100 users downloaded ~1000 of my files in the last week alone. Music piracy is still alive and kicking. I encourage everyone to download and install SoulseekQT/Nicotine+/Seeker-Android and share whatever kind of music you have for everybody to download. Let's bring back music piracy!

Most of us have Spotify, Deezer or YTM. Some perverts have Tidal.

There is a way to download playlists from these services for several hundred tracks or possibly more.

SpotDL:
UI: Cli
Playlist support: YouTube/YTM, Spotify
File source: YouTube, YT Music
Token required: No
Login required: No
Price: Free
Quality: 128kbps(256kbps for YT Premium users)
Platform: Linux, Windows, Termux
License: Mit

Spotiflyer:
UI: Gui
Playlist support: YouTube, Spotify, Gaana, Jiosaavn
File source: YouTube, YT Music, Jiosaavn
Token required: No
Login required: No
Price: Free
Quality: 128kbps
Platform: Linux, Windows, OSX, Android
License: GPL 3.0

Deemix:
UI: Cli
Playlist support: Deezer
File source: Deezer
Token required: Yes
Login required: No
Price: Free
Quality: 320kbps
Platform: Linux, Windows, OSX, Android
License: GPL 3.0

YT-Dlp is also an option, but I haven't used it, so I can't say anything about the capabilities. Spotdl uses youtube-dl as a backend, and yt-dlp is a fork of youtube-dl, so it probably works fine too.

How to find tokens for Deemix - decide for yourself. You can buy premium for a month and download all the music you can. Or find the key on the sites. There are also several groups on Telegram where you can find them. Deemix does not always download tracks the first time, so it is necessary to execute the command several times. Some tracks cannot be downloaded at all. The larger the playlist, the more possible errors. From a playlist of 1200 tracks, about 200 are not downloaded.

Spotiflyer often fails to download a song, so it should only be used if you don't have access to a PC.

Spotdl works almost perfectly. During all this time I have not had a single mistake. Even large playlists download without errors.

After you have downloaded all the tracks, you can upload them to the cloud storage. I use MEGA.

Now you have a pocket streaming service that you have full control over.

I've had this idea for a while now, and always wondered if a program like this existed, but never found anything like it.

The idea is a selfhosted service/script/daemon that connects to music streaming platforms APIs and automatically downloads your play history. You'd keep listening to your music library on the streaming service until you think you've built a big enough of an offline library and then just drop the streaming service.

This would be a great way to build a music library for people who want to drop streaming services but don't have a music library. I might just put something together myself.

I know Apple Music added a lossless streaming option awhile back, but all the rippers I can find only appear to do 256kbps AAC. Is there anything out there that supports lossless?

Piracy seemed like the community to at least understand and maybe know some resources for this. I am looking for music that is available on freer licenses. Preferably easily browsable. Anyone got any leads?

Like the title says I am trying to find an anime OP in lossless format. Searched nyaa and soulseek but couldn't find it there. And i don't have access to any music related private trackers. I think there should be some place where you can do thi

I come from the movies/tv shows i.e. radarr/sonarr side of things. This method does not work for music and I'm wondering what other options I have to auto-find downloads at a reasonable bitrate to fill out my library without having to download entire albums all of the time.

What is your setup?

Hello there!

I was wondering if someone has a US version of Apple Music and would be kind enough to share with me the account for some time? The reason I'm asking is that there are some regional differences (I call it the XXI century apartheid) probably due to some copyrights etc. which makes some albums I would like to download to have replaced songs or sometimes even missing them completely.

I cannot create a new US account since I would have to have an American card - mine European does not work unfortunately for us account purposes.

Thanks a lot in advance. I could perhaps share some credentials or invites in return for some trackers.

Thanks a lot in advance! With kindest regards, Deczkin

Please comment links to sites and tools you use to get your music from and I will make a Megathread with all the links organized.

You can also link to music piracy guides, Audio Players, Streaming sites and literally anything related to music, doesn't even have to be piracy related. I will categorize it in the Megathread

Once the megathread is made I will actively maintain it for dead sites etc. ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ๐Ÿฆˆ

I use musicbee and I find it to be perfect. Also used plex's Plexamp to stream music to my phone, It genuinely feels premium and is worth the plex pass for this alone. Though I still used pirated .apk anyway lol
