From the photo, they look pretty easy to swim under. Just a waste of money, plastic and rusting metal for posturing more culture wars.

People have been hurt already. And to try to avoid the razor wire, people are moving into deeper more dangerous parts of the river. This also puts border patrol and other first responders at risk as well.

It's way, way worse than a waste of materials.
