Chronicle the life and tale of the fediverse (+ matrix)

Largely a sublemmy about capturing drama, from fediverse spanning drama to just lemmy drama.

Includes lore like how a instance got it's name, how an instance got defederated, how an admin got doxxed, fedihistory etc

(New) This sub's intentions is to an archive/newspaper, as in preferably don't get into fights with each other or the ppl featured in the drama

Users a pretty split on the decision and some in that thread are claiming the bhalaj is only doing it for the sake of drama.

From what I’ve seen from the other users on blahaj, it’s not pretty split from the users on our instance. It’s supported. So defederating isn’t “drama”, it’s the intentional design of Lemmy

Yeah I like the concept of chronicling all these happenings but declaring them to be dramatic circumstances is not only trying to be divisive for it's own sake, it's also just a bald-faced lie in most cases.

We shouldn't emulate reddit's toxic bullshit like SRD. Defederating happens, and it's not a big deal. Pretending like it is actively makes the platform worse.
