So my Shakti mat and pillow arrived yesterday. Mother FUCKER they hurt at first. I could do my neck and shoulders and I've managed to do my feet and legs on the mat (feet I can't put my entire weight on initially). What I absolutely cannot do yet and might not be able to for a while is sit with my bum on the mat. YOW!!!

But holy hell do my muscles feel invigorated and a million times less tight. Especially my neck and shoulders! And my right arm which had been feeling weak/numb at times last year and early this year. I can use the mat or pillow while watching TV and take them around with me anywhere. This is great!

The best feeling is once you get off the mat and there's a massive rush of warm blood to the stimulated areas.

It's so, so good.

Yes, that's what I live for! The massage therapist I saw last week pointed out that's how it worked for her too. Only after you get ff the mat you suddenly feel everything falling into place....

they hurt at first

Oh yeah, ha ha hahaha. I've had some mild panic attacks when I've stuck with it through the first minute or so, but then realised I've got to try and get off the mat at some point.

It really does look a bit like a torture device so it takes some getting used to. But I think I might be a closet masochist.....

I will happily promote this. Works wonders for my migraines and neck and back issues.
