I was expecting not to receive my full pay rise this financial year regardless of meeting my performance plan because I haven't been in this particular role for the full financial year.. but I just got an email saying congratulations and that my pay rise is coming through on the next pay run along with backpay from July 1! Yay!!

Sometimes things just work out.

It's still technically a pay cut when looking at the cost of living/inflation increases but let's try not to dwell.. nobody is getting raises to meet those increases unless they're changing jobs. It's still progression! ...yay!

I did the maths and it ends up being an extra $108 a fortnight in my bank I think so I'm not sure if I'm inviting people onto my yacht just yet lol
