So the question is, will this back-up my posts to a file as well?

You have the option to save everything to a text file. Power Delete Suite works very well.

Be careful. When I tried this it didn't quite work - I got a handful of comments, but a bunch were missing and the csv was obviously truncated. Others have reported similar results as well. See https://kbin.social/m/RedditMigration/t/71867/Poll-Power-Delete-Suite-users-are-you-saving-your-content

This was the thing stopping me from deleting my posts because I have links on my comments that probably don't exist anywhere else on the internet, and I didn't want to manually jot those down.

This seals the deal for me. I'll upload all my contributions to archive.org or something, fuck I'd even just host a website myself in case there is one person out there that is pulling their hair out trying to find a solution or a particular Minecraft world, and my comment makes their day.
