Interesting article but needed more details about why the current Russian empire fails to meet the characteristics of a failing empire.
Back up pretty much all states and empires will be temporary in a large enough timeframe. Doesn't say anything about it this failure will happen within our lifetime or in 1000 years
Well. The article says you need strong military, strong economy and strong institutions to hold the empire up. The military has been proven to only be strong in numbers, not in actual power; economy has been weak before the invasion, is in complete shambles currently, only held up by massive intervention; and corruption has completely destroyed any efficacy of the government. Can't conquer a nation without a way to uphold your order.
It does imply the fall of empire within putin's lifetime.
Yeah. It had the details but I wish it had more. But overall it had all of the elements
