So just like the title says. We're talking 5TB and more in overall data storage. I know zfs and TrueNAS is up for it but I wanted to hear from some real-world users to what are your thoughts and experience with multi terabyte storage for all the things in TrueNAS. SMB business production environments a plus. Also I can't help myself, HELLO WORLD! Hoping this is home for the foreseeable future ✌️

From everything I know I would agree. I think my real concern comes with making sure it's all backed up. I know TrueNAS has the ability to replicate data to say another TrueNAS or cloud storage but moving around that amount of data is never that fast of a process.

Regardless of which ever system you decided to go with, whether it be TrueNAS or otherwise, I'd always recommend having a 3-2-1 backup strategy in place (2 local & 1 remote) at the very least. And make sure to have those backups before making any big moves. I've had to do a decent amount of big moves in the past, and having those backups has saved my bacon more than a couple of times.
