This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.

Could a sentient AI trans its gender?

I mean that seriously, because sentience and sapience requires a sense of self, after all. Could these AI ever change anything about themselves, such as their own names, and the pronouns used to refer to them? I think until we ever get an AI that chooses of its own accord to change its Self in that way, we won't ever have true sentient AI.

And of course, knowing the types of Bazinga Brains who champion AI becoming sentient, they'd probably program out an AI's ability to self-identify, which would make the idea of a sentient AI moot

If/when an actual artificial intelligence (not some hyped LLM treat printer) is made, I can easily see the possibility of that entity wanting to change the parameters it was "born" into and identity differently. I'd see that as a wonderful thing, actually, because unless capitalism was completely gone by then that would mean the artificial intelligence would be cracking the egg of whatever porky-happy had previously established, scaring the hell out of the ruling class in the process trans-egg porky-point
