Never mind that the Germans were getting really rough by the time the USA showed up in the western front and also most US soldiers were drafted, and also you couldn't pick the front you'd fight in. And that the US bodybuilder movement comes from trying to create their own gorgeous muscular bodies to emulate the Germans.
