Masquerada: Songs and Shadows, good lore and excellent world building, "easy" and forgiving crpg.

Wirewalk()↳, a short and loving gameboy like rpg, less than 100 reviews.

Roadwarden, think it's 40% off at the moment, an extremely well written text based rpg (with pictures), it's more than a visual novel but less than a typical RPG.

Highly recommend trying it
