I wanna make one for the Victoria 3 nerds for tips on learning how to play but am pretty busy today and just haven't made it a priority. I didn't comment that I'm looking for resources for it in another thread.
I almost never make posts on reddit but actually have posted a bit on here. I think it's partially just because I know I'm with like minded people so the stage freight is lessened a bit. Some of the comments you get on reddit are just unhinged lunacy.
E: I'd also like to try my hand at quality shitposting here but I'm always afraid I'm gonna say something dumb and offend a comrade.
I've always wanted to understand those kinda games so I hope you do post about it so I can try
I just checked and I have 4 hours in on Vicy and still no real clue on any of it. Like I'm roughly familiar with where the menus and such are for what I am needing but no real clue on each system yet, let alone how everything synergizes.
If you are looking into a 4x/Grand Strategy to introduce things, Civ V on easiest mode is mostly just build a ton of units and buildings and win. It let's you mess with stuff a bit and not really punish you on it. Crusader's King on the other hand is impossible to learn, I don't care if anyone says otherwise. I did 15+ hours worth of tutorial in that game and could never wrap my head around it.
I think me and a friend are gonna play Vicy tomorrow evening and see what we can figure out and then maybe after that I might make a post. I have a few videos I am hoping will help too.
I haven't played Vic3 yet but had like 400 hours in Vic2 and still barely understood it. Still imo the best PDX game except for all the shit bits.
Well that's actually reassuring.
I think I'm gonna do a series of shorter games and pick a few goals and try and figure out what to do along the way. I don't wanna get frustrated while also being overwhelmed, since gaming is supposed to be fun lol.
