I'm wanting to leave reddit because it's not going to be the same after this. I love reddit but it has been declining and this new change is just the nail in the coffin. I'm struggling to use Lemmy / the fediverse though. There's quite a learning curve for those of us who aren't great with tech stuff. Plus all of my communities are still on reddit and haven't made the jump to Lemmy. It's just frustrating all round and I wish reddit could go back to what it was.
Same here, though for me Apollo = Reddit. My current plan is to delete Reddit apps from my phone and only visit on desktop occasionally. With ad blockers it should be tolerable but I'm not sure I can stand to be part of Reddit from an ethical standpoint. Here's hoping Lemmy can scratch the itch.
