But what is that magic phrase? I've never heard of that.

Well I'm from Germany and never heard about this either. Could be a weird regional thing then.
I don't even know why this is a conversation, because English speakers can also say politely that they'd like people to leave because they are tired lol
Fair enough. I'm from Canada so I'm just posting something I saw that fits the conversation. I'm definitely not going to tell a German what Germans say as if I know better. Perhaps she had a circle of friends who said this and she just thought it was German culture.
I feel this is not more likely to work in german than in english. It's certainly not a common phrase.
