RAM for Lenovo P15 (sh.itjust.works)

Hey folks, and many apologies if this is the wrong place to post this. Upgrading the RAM on my laptop will be my first ever PC parts purchase and upgrade of any kind, and I have no idea what I'm doing after looking through parts options. I am wondering how I can know if a given RAM stick will fit in and work with the P15, and if anyone has any options on where I should buy it from. Thanks so much in advance and sorry for such a rookie question.

I'd first check that it is even possible to change them out as sometimes it is soldered to the motherboard. I'd look up some teardown articles on your laptop. If it is not soldered, the format of the RAM is most likely SODIMM so you can look for that online. Ofc you'd also need to make sure that the new ram has the same DDR version and you'd need to check the speed of the ram to make sure the motherboard supports it. You can probably find those speeds in the bios.
