"I've told you before, Ensign, call it life support when on the bridge."
TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name
/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry or fascism. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable, neither is supporting people who actively want to kill those groups. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.
Fun will now commence.

"Environmental controls are exceeding normal parameters and hydration levels are rapidly being depleted."

"Now, inform the men that short shorts are mandatory."
There's actually truth to that. In a vacuum, heat doesn't convect and can only radiate away. Assuming all systems aren't down, then you're more likely to roast than freeze from all the heat from other equipment and such building up.
How quickly would the crew boil alive without active cooling?
You've got
- Lots of electrical equipment
- Lots of body heat
- A fucking matter anti matter reactor
- Secondary fusion reactors.
On a ship with no physical radiators.
They should probably crack a window or something.
OH YEAH!
Doesn't it happen in an episode or two? It gets hot, but at a cinematic pace lol
I don't remember one. There was a TNG episode where it fell into the thinking that it would get cold.
I've had a few old cars where you had to turn off the AC in order to accelerate fast enough to use a highway on-ramp. presumably if you get a lemon of a starship off craigslist, you need to disable life support to go to warp
That's the real reason Quark, Rom, and Nog ended up crashing in the past
Divert all available power from life support to warp drive
This really burns me up.
