I'm not a flashlight collector or very knowledgeable about them, so pardon my question if it's uninformed. But what is involved with "play"?

Was going to go for a night walk and try out the various lights to see how far they stretch, how color rendering is, compare the floods to the throws, etc. Just generally see how they perform. I haven't had a good opportunity yet to compare them all in a large dark area.

Here are a few photo posts about using lights outdoors for example:

Aside: linking to Lemmy posts with federation doesn’t seem to be supported properly at the moment, unlike community links which keep you on your own instance, e.g. [email protected] doesn’t transport me to a different Lemmy instance when using this account from programming.dev.

Love seeing the blue hanks! And sweet case!

I currently transport my collection in a bag where they're flopping around, and I worry about them scratching each other 😬

Exactly why they're cased! My D4V2 is my EDC so if it gets bumps and bruises, so be it. The rest float around the lab / are toys, so I try to keep them nice. This is an Apache 550 case from Harbor Freight. They are inexpensive and very rugged. I have a ton of them and use them mainly for vape stuff, but this worked out great :)

That's your chance to test those IPX ratings!

I'm not hail rated, though!
