To be honest, I didn't think accurate depiction was a huge Civ development goal when you have stuff like nuclear Gandhi.
The best part of civ is playing as Attila the Hun and allying with Julius Caesar to invade Brazil. It doesn't get more realistic
I think that's a fair point, and also it's cool that they want to try to be sensitive to a group that's historically gotten the raw end of the deal much of the time.
It's small progress, but better than business as usual.
I already like the direction this game is going, I had already found humankind to be a lot more fun (I still probably will prefer it due to the graphics it gives) but now that they support Linux I will give them my complete attention
