They thought they had it in the bag and there'd be no consequences since their overlord directed them to do it.
If they'd been successful, they would have been right about that.
Took em over two and half years and the worlds dumbest criminal to catch this guy and it makes me realizing most of these j6 pople are probably just walking free, getting ready to go vote.
The FBI put on their largest ever investigation. And remember, they not only have to identify these people, they have to identify them committing a crime with enough evidence to prosecute. Not easy.
