MODERATORS

It's been a while since a reddit thread got me this heated.

Obviously I don’t know the full context, but often when a school resource officer is the one removing a kid it’s because they’ve refused to leave after the teacher and an administrator have asked them to. So that means the student has been potentially disrupting that class for tens of minutes before someone finally removed them. Not condoning the method but the students probably knew this was coming.

my god, TENS of minutes? TENS? POTENTIALLY DISRUPTING for TENS OF WHOLE MINUTES?

There was no violence there. There was controlled use of force. She was never stuck or choked. Her lack of cooperation with an authorized authority is what caused the event to be volatile. I am confident of two things. First this is not the beginning of this incident. Second this person was given a choice. She made at least two bad choices to end up in this situation. Rebels and protesters don't think about all the costs involved in the final purchase. Usually they don't end up paying it either.

why are you confident of that lmao

My kid would have NEVER. But I went to school with students who acted out, and I didn’t bat an eye. Because if I acted out - the security at school would be a walk in the park compared to the ass whoopin I would’ve received at HOME.

all those beatings have sure turned you into a wonderful parent. "my kid would NEVER" = the kid is doing that thing every single day

Okay galaxy brain, how would you handle removing the child from the classroom if they refused to cooperate?

SO MANY PEOPLE being like "what's the alternative? what were they supposed to do??", the redditor mind can really only conceive of things happening that end in clips. The idea of having a conversation is beyond the imagination, violence is the only conceivable outcome.

What a surprise she’s black /s 🤦‍♂️

and now you see laid bare the thought that every other poster thought before making their post

There's definitely a thing to be said for how reddit-logo has so many people complaining about AuThOrItArIaN cHiNa, but at the same time has so many subs like PublicFreakout or JusticeServed or whatever where they're cheering for cops or rentacops beating up people, usually for some minor infraction (or even worse, beating up protesters), and then justify it with ”well, they shouldn't have done the thing if they didn't want to be beaten”.

In evil North Korea, etc.

Don't worry, if you post a video of someone getting punched for screaming a racial slur at someone over and over they'll suddenly become enlightened and state how violence isn't the answer. It's predictable as shit.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Lmao saw so many saying that shit when there was a video of a Nazi getting decked a while ago

Publicfreakout can be a wildcard.

There was a video on there today of a woman in china threatening people with a cleaver in each hand, and Chinese police took her down with plastic bins and a pole that grabbed her ankle. Disarmed her, and arrested her.

The entire comment section was making jokes about how in fascist authoritarian countries they'd just shoot you. One person tried to be like "buh buh buh organ harvesting!" and was downvoted negative.

That sub is like the ebb and flow of tides, one day it will be almost entirely anti-cop and anti-Israel, the next it feels like the fucking hunger games looking for a slaughter.

I remember when I was in highschool some kid was acting up and the police got called and they literally held her down and pepper sprayed her straight up the nose point blank. When she got back I talked to her and she had permanent damage to her sense of smell and her lungs

Don't call domestic abusers on rowdy kids.

reddit-logo smuglord That child should've thought about her actions before playing STUPID GAMES and winning STUPID PRIZES.

[–] [email protected] 33 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Somehow that comment is even worse than your description of it, because the comment seems to imply that if a child shows insufficient deference to the grown man, the grown man should be allowed to almost murder her.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago

The whole “stupid prizes” aphorism reduces to a Judeo-Christian view of morality. Rules are absolute and shall not be questioned. They are Commandments passed down from God. We don’t know all of God’s reasoning for the Rules, but if you break the Rules you have no excuse (after all the Rules were clear) and any punishment is Fair according to divine judgment.

Liberals will defend even unjust laws because they believe that deeply in the law and the legal-political institutions in place to change it as needed. Hence another favorite aphorism: The wheels of justice move slowly, but they grind extremely fine. The inability for our institutions to correctly handle situations as they arise is accepted as a feature and not a design flaw.

I went to a really shitty public school where the kids would fight with the teachers and the security, these kids were failed a long time ago, like generations ago.

It sucks having to be scared of people trying to fight you for no good reason or have class disrupted by some person who is mad at the world and doesnt give a shit who they hurt. I am definitely dumber than the people who I went to college with because of that environment. But I hate more redditors/white people who dont get whats going on. That goes for both libs and chuds.

Its not that theyre bad people, its not their parents are bad people, its not their race, were talking about generations of various trauma and lack of social cohesion that make people act like that.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 year ago (5 children)

literally how is every student in that class not going to see that and go "oh, okay, this is prison. we're inmates. all the adults here hate us and there's no point in trying to gain their approval."

The reddit-logo users would probably agree about the "lack of social cohesion" part, but for all the wrong reasons

Let me use a controled amount of force on that Redditor and see if they still think it's not violent.

I bet they shit themselves and have a change of heart real fast.

[–] [email protected] 41 points 1 year ago

Jesus Christ the video makes it entirely worse. She's sitting in a desk/chair combination and so is stuck in place while the cop basically thrashes her around the room, nearly smashing her head/neck off another desk, and violently wrenching her from the desk.

Anyone who defends this gets the fucking wall.

[–] [email protected] 40 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This feels like a case of us-foreign-policy again where if it had been a white girl they'd be way more acab and outrage in that thread.

reddit-logo strikes again

Reddit's special blend of antinatalist brainworms craves violence against children.

[–] [email protected] 38 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Not what antinatalism is. None of the people im that thread are antinatalists.

Edit: to further "go off", Reddit is a site of manchildren who make more money than they should and have more time to not work than most, and is dominated by a combination of free market ethos pseudo-free speech maximalism with extremely overbearing, petty rules that exist to control the users in ways the admins and mods don't like. It's the exact kind of culture that craves disciplining children into little controlled pseudo-autonomous automatons. Antinatalism isn't really factoring into this.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I'm not entirely as sure. When I was on reddit-logo when video of some kid getting brutalized by a cop happened it wasn't long until "crotch goblin" or "those parents shouldn't have bred" comments came up.

Did it really change that much since then?

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

"those parents shouldn't have bred" comments came up.

That often isn't anti-natalist, but malthusian, classist, racist and ableist though. Sometimes it intersects and can be more than one thing.

Reddit craves violence against children.

Is objectively true though.

When anyone says they’re “left leaning” it’s always major 🚩🚩🚩for whatever they say next. Same as “I’m not racist, but

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

It's meant to justify their shitty opinion by prefacing it with what they think cements their moral superiority.

Basically shouting "don't bother to challenge my stance because you know I will not argue in good faith".

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago

A lot of the time it's pick me shit, trying to be like ”I lean left but that doesn't mean I don't have common sense!”

I can’t even view the thread on mobile without logging in via the Reddit app because it is marked NSFW lol. I refuse to download the app or create an account again. Does anyone have a workaround?

There was no violence there. There was controlled use of force.

Reading this, then seeing the video. Id' hate to see what this commenter thinks is violence. Also,

a school resource officer

Nice euphemism for acab violence fascist indoctrination in schools.

That people I know were able to deal with tens of thousands of students over decades without the use of physical violence tells a lot about the USA and their bad framework of pedagogy in schools. A school resource officer should be a person able to give out resources that are needed, not hit people.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago

corporal punishment of students by teachers is legal in the southern united states. the logic of the shackle and lash runs deep in this country.

Do the libs and cockservstives understand the fucking state will use these same thugs to beat them to a pulp the second it becomes convenient for the state to do that? The Biden libs after Trump are quite literally building up the military state even more with the Nievity that they some how are built diffrent and can control the deep state even though they have murdered a siting president and volun-tell every siting president how foreign policy is gonna be. They have internal factions sure. Ask, is empowering the deep state in the hope you can use it agnist your political rivals ever been a good fucking idea. Children with playing with gasoline. Except we all get burnt.
