Welcome. Melbourne pretty much migrated entirely but Sydney is still four guys. Someday we’ll get there!
Sydney
I hope Melbourne leaves the culture they had behind.
Downvote != disagree, and mods would straight up ban someone they disagree with (not me btw lol)
What does Downvote == if Downvote != disagree?
Something that doesn't contribute to a discussion. Your can't really have a good discussion if dissenting opinions are hidden. Just encourages echo chambers.
I see, thanks 🙏
Maybe, they seem pretty happy over there now that the sub has reopened. Let them eat sunsets! Multiple sunsets every day of the week forever and ever!
And nonstop bridge pics don’t forget!
That reminds me, I have an idea for a image post I'll make tomorrow. If I remember to go get a photo. It's on a bridge, but it's not a bridge.
And Danny Lim sightings
Saw him at one of his usual hangouts Newtown Station the other day. Looks well but I saw him from afar. Was surprised when he and Smary showed up in the briefest of cameos in George Millar's last film.
Once we start getting at least one sunset post per day here we’ll know Lemmy has made it.
We need to set some KPIs and whip everyone into line.
Does it count if we do the sunset picture using the replica bridge out near Liverpool (is that even still there)? That's faster for me to get to.
I have vague memories of someone posting images of this on /r/sydney earlier this year. I think it's up but has no pylons at either end.
There's also the smaller Sydney Harbour Bridge War Memorial at Callan Park built by Ngajanji man Douglas Grant. Haven't had a chance to check it out myself.
If you're still scouting for apps, try wefwef. It's pretty amazing.
Will do. Thanks for the tip!
Just wait until we get some rainy days, then I'm sure we'll get flooded with Shitty Rail posts in no time.
Why would you jinx us by mentioning rainy days! I was just beginning to look forward to another long dry streak.
Hey! It’s because of your post that I found this sub. I want to be welcomed as well!
I was 4 or 5 when that film played late one New Year's Eve. Dad walked in from the neighbours fireworks show and said "Such a great movie that", watched it with me for a bit and then went back to the party.
I wouldn't have slept for weeks if I saw that at 4 or 5.
I would never have never eaten chicken again, and maybe have avoided all pools, just in case....
Speak Friend and Enter (oh and welcome btw).
New network, new identity time. I hope this will stick around and not be shit.
I brought my username with me. Kinda grew attached to it.
Shhhhh! Everyone is sleeping 😆
But welcome, and enjoy your new home!
Thanks No1, you have the bridge, I'm heading to my ready room for an earl grey, hot.
