C'mon just a little bit
It is indeed pretty cool, they've been at it for decades IIRC
It has led to some minor scientific publications in history as well
There is some animal exploitation there though (specifically horses and donkeys)
there's some good videos on YouTube interviewing the people working on it, giving a bit of a tour, i'd recommended having a look for them
some mf spent 10s of hours inside a treadwheel crane in the year of our lord 2023 lmao
