-----POLL RESULTS EDIT: NSFW IS STILL 100% ALLOWED, CORPOPOSTING IS NOW BANNED--------- I've been seeing a lot of reports on posts that feature corporate mascots/product worship, as well as properly tagged NSFW posts that are just straight up furry porn. Neither of these posts violate any of our regulations, and in fact the NSFW posts are often perfectly formatted (includes the word rule, as well as content warnings). As I try to keep things democratic around here, I figured I would host yet another community poll. Personally, I have no problem with the NSFW posts as they don't often reach the frontpage and will be blurred so anyone who doesn't want to see that sort of thing can simply not click. I also would personally ban corpo brandpsting as I'm quite anti-capitalist and honestly don't give a shit what the Opera GX brand tweeted about the new grimace shake grubhub mindpump Kony2012 shit-eating competitions. Because this is a poll, however, my opinions mean jack shit. Whatever you guys choose the rules to be will be the rules regardless of what I would prepher.

I don't mind somewhat nsfw memes but I dont want to see straight up porn whether furry or not.

Those are two very separate moods and it feels jarring seeing one when I'm here to see some funny.

Yeah, this community just doesn't really have the feel of one I expect porn on.

No corpo. Only furry Wang.

If it's ironic worship I don't care, I also don't care if furry cocks get posted.

Honestly as long as the furry porn is blurred and properly tagged then I don't care if it's on here ocasionally. However I also browse 196 at work and it would be pretty annoying to have scroll through multiple pages of even blurred furry porn to find my usual shitposts. So encouraging the posting of just straight up porn is not something that I would personally be a fan of. I wouldn't say something should be banned for containing furry porn but if it is just furry porn and nothing else then there are better communities for that. So I would be for a ban on any uncaptioned furry porn. If you're going to post furry porn it should be as a shitpost, not just porn for porns sake.

As far as corpo posting, I hate shills as much as the next guy but the issue is where to draw the line. One persons corpo mocking meme is a shill meme to someone else. For example the grimace milkshake memes. To me the very idea of the grimace milkshake is just as dumb and laughable as the titan submarine. I can't imagine why anyone would buy that thing. It exists as something to be mocked. At the same time I'm really tired of wendy's tweets being posted everywhere. I would be for a ban on any content that is just a screenshot of corporate social media posts which aren't at least reframed to be mocking that entity. Positive corporate PR doesn't belong on 196.

Glad to be part of that "furry porn" catagory. Don't worry, I'm not gonna spam a bunch or anything.

No corporation post. Everything else is fair game.

I’m thinking I found my new kink. “Furry” corporate mascots.
