Do you think they know what the words "cognitive dissonance" mean?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago

If they did, they wouldn't be Mormons.

He probably violates everything they stand for.

I don't know, he was big on torturing people and that's what they'd love to happen to LGBT+ people. The evangelicals and Mormons just don't want to wait until they're dead.

When I was a teen I wanted an earring I was told I couldn't have one because it was against the Bible. I found a passage that specifically talked about males wearing earrings. Now what do you think happened?

  1. My god fearing family was impressed by my scholarship and allowed me to get one.

Or

  1. They said it didn't count for unspecified reasons.

To be fair. Their actual mascot is a mountain lion or cougar or something. And he’s pretty clean cut and passes the dress code.

Edit: he has sleeves but no shoes. Dress code. Violated.

The cougar is not shaved, and isn't wearing pants; I'm pretty sure that's not following the BYU dress code at all.

Is he wearing shoes?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

It’s just an example of forcing your culture on everyone else.
