What kind do you use?

I declare the weeds to be wildflowers and then I just have to deal with them if they actually over-run something else. Then my tool is a machete.

Like, just small tokes, maaaan.

Jokes aside, a garden hoe, the one with the spikes/tines on one side and the blade on the other. Most of my yard is planted for low/zero maintenance with native plants, so volunteers tend to be welcome rather than being weeds

But damn, we get dandelions and such still, and I can't bend over to get them, so I need the longer handle.

Jokes aside; I use an action hoe more than anything. Those claw-grabber-reacher tools work well for weeds growing in potting mix in my raised beds. Often tho, I end up just doing it by hand when I'm wandering around the garden

I just got a hand weeder (https://www.berings.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/710813-1.jpg), which sure beats pulling them out by hand!

A trenching spade and constant vigilance.
