tldr tar
The tldr command is good, use it. Or not, I am not your supervisor.
Compress ze file! (-czf)
tar extract ze vucking file fuku.tar.gz
tar -xvf /usr/share/wordlists/rockyou.tar.gz
Tar has became much more usable with time.
In fact, by the time that comic was published, tar was already extremely more usable than its earned reputation implied. And it has only improved by now.
