I was just made a moderator of m/politics. However, when I view the magazine's info, the 'Magazine Panel' button which provides access to the admin tools is not present.

I also own m/horrorliterature. On this magazine, I see the button and I'm able to moderate as expected.

I wasn't able to find any known issues related to this on codeberg, but it would appear to be a delegation problem. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know how it might be resolved?

Hi all. I'm the current listed owner of !politics but I just got promoted yesterday so my first time moderating in kbin.social.

Please let me know if there's something on my end that I'm supposed to do to equip all the 3 other mods for our magazine.

Thank you!

What are moderators supposed to see? I was added as a moderator on m/stinkbadgers and I can't see any panel with tools. The only thing that's different since I was made a moderator is that I have a "moderate" option in the "more" menu on any thread or comment

If you pull up the magazine info page (so far I've been using mobile, where you click the hamburger icon in the top left for that), there should be a big button directly above the magazine's name that says 'Magazine Panel'. When you click that, you'll see a few different tabs up top with moderation tools such as viewing reports.

...or, such as in my current case, you might not. But you should.

Yeah, I don't have that button either. I'm in the same situation as you.

Well, hopefully this will get some attention from more experienced users or devs and we can get it figured out.

Sounds like someone was able to provide a workaround. I know ernest is in the process of rolling out more mod tools. Do you think it's worth adding a bug report on codeberg?

I think it just isn't possible for anyone other than the owner to open the general tab, but as for the others, if you go to /m/magazine/panel/reports, that'll let you view the reports and open the rest of the tabs to change other things (except General, Moderators, Appearance, and Statistics)

But the magazine panel isn't available to begin with.

Edit: Okay. It appears that there is no way through the UI to access those admin tools as a moderator and not the owner. If you actually input the URL directly, you can view reports.

If that is the case and working as expected for the time being, how are there no issues open in codeberg to have it fixed? This can't possibly be the intended design, even keeping in mind that the fediverse is still new.
