Nothing blew up! I don't even know what version I just came from.

Wow! You live life on the edge!!!

LOL yeah. It's my little playground with nothing super important. I'm a novice in this stuff and don't trust it with anything valuable. A novice that's gone from a Gateway Laptop to a Dell VRTX in the last 10 years.

Haha, that's how it starts, then you get close to running out of space and figure you'll just put a few files in the playground. You don't really care about them, then fast forward a year and it's now become your download cache seeding half of librevox and archive.org torrents 😉

You know that makes you the update thread poster here for the rest of eternity.

Terrific... Alright then, I'm turning notifications on for the announcements rss feed.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

We could add it to the /u/reddthatbot if you want? Rss->post is it's jam!

The announcement is hidden here: https://reddthat.com/post/46695

Sounds great! Should I post it in the announcement thread or..?

The feed URL is here btw for anyone curious: https://forums.unraid.net/forums/forum/7-announcements.xml (this is actually the announcements section of the Unraid forums as the official blog doesn't seem to support RSS).

I would only say yes to crossposting, so it filters up to the top for others :P

Then Tiff will see it as well.

I have two unRaid systems - one is mostly a media server. The other handles backups and runs Scrypted (which is awesome - I have all of my cameras viewable on Echo Show's now). I updated my Scrypted system. The only problem I ran into was that NUT plugin was not compatible. I will let it run a while before considering the upgrade of my media server. I won't be using ZFS on it, so no hurry and no major feature I need.

Someone in the forums mentioned that there's a new NUT plugin by SimonFair that should be compatible with 6.12. You may want to give it a shot.

Thanks - just installed it. It identified my UPS just fine. (Hoping I don't have to test out a power failure soon :) )

Aw, thought I might be first to post :P

Edit, upgraded both of my systems (from RC8), no issues in either case.

Clicked the update button too! Hope all goes well! A little worried

Not entirely smooth. It showed my drives as unmountable, but was working. Everything seems in order after a reboot.

anyone upgrade from 6.11.5 yet? will probably just wait til 6.12.1 at least.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Just updated from 6.11.5 20 minutes ago, 37 containers 4VMs, couple of custom mods to go-file (borg, borgmatic, zsh, omz, nano, auto start encrypted disk).

Ran the Update Assistant (that is a part of CA Fix Common Problems), it recommended me to remove 1 plugin (of 25); Corsair PSU Stats.

Booted up, and business as usual.
Only thing I've noticed, Docker Folders doesn't seem to work on the Dashboard.

I've been through every RC on my test-server as well, and haven't really had any issues there either.

I've been running since RC1, no issues on my end but of course everyones setup is different, give it a couple of weeks to be safe and make sure you update all your plug-ins and take a backup beforehand as there are some significant and potentially breaking changes made in this version.
