Alan Wake (2013) was the first game I bought on Steam back in July of 2013 and I enjoyed it, but I never got around to completing it.

In a months time it will have been a year since I started that game and I still plan to finish it. It is starting to feel a bit dated and I know there is a remaster, but I feel compelled to finish the original copy I've been sitting on for the last decade.

I believe it was the first digital game I bought and at the time it was a weird concept to buy a game I couldn't give away or sell.

After loving the shit out of Control, I have to go back and play this sometime. I always knew about it but never seriously looked at playing it.

Speaking of, I might replay Control on the PS5. It was pushing the limits of the PS4 Pro

That was my situation as well, wanting to play AW before playing the Control DLC but man the game is a slug... It was when it released so it feels even worse now...

I need to replay this again. I loved Alan Wake when I played it back in the day with its Twin Peaks atmosphere, and I liked coming across the random videos that were a homage to The Twilight Zone.

Play it with headphones in a dark room for the full experience. I had to take breaks because it freaked me out so much. The ambience from the sound and visuals is pitch perfect.

Heh. Just checked my account. Alan Wake was added to it in May of 2013. I haven't played it yet... I think it was part of a humble bundle or something.

I didn't really love Control, is there much point in me looking into Alan Wake?

Bought it in a bundle in 2015-16 and I only recently got a computer than can run it, and I have forgot about it entierly. Will give it a shot now, thanks!

Alan Wake and Control are two of my favourite games of all time. I can't wait until they come out with the sequel to either. I just love Remedy so much.

I don't really have much to contribute here except that I'm glad my favourite studio is getting some attention.

They are the only games I am okay with any form of live action video, they deliver such a twilight zone vibe that it fits their style.

The second digital game I bought was for the Xbox 360, State of Decay.
