The World Cup makes literal billions of USD in revenue. There is documented hundreds of millions of USD in graft and corruption in FIFA. There is now oil money trying to "sports wash" their image. It is shameful how many little the people who actually play the game actually make.

Also, why not give the money directly to the players? Why give it to their clubs?
