I'm a brokeass Dynavap bitch - my temp control is "5 seconds past the click" lol
Vaporents
This is for discussion on dry herb vaporizers and showing off your setups.
I start around 160-170c and raise it up to 220 over the course of the night. If it's already late and I wanna get stoned I go straight to ~200.
Low temp highs feel more clear and energetic. Higher tells make me more chill and lethargic.
This is basically what I do. I usually start at 170-180 and then if I want to do a 3 step night I’ll do 200 then 215. I usually just do 170-180 and then 215
Yes absolutely it depends on my mood, strain, and time of day.
I can cook a hybrid and extract most of the sativa side, or extract the indica side based on temperature.
In the mornings I might only hit up to 385F so I still can function, or I might increase to 420F in the evenings if I desire more sedation.
Often I start at low temps like 300F to savor the flavor of the herb (I'm a flavor chaser, I'll admit).
I need to start flavor chasing more! I usually don’t go below 175C. I will try 160C tonight
Start even lower! Try 150c and work your way up 10c at a time!
Honestly, I sometimes start pretty low temp to get the most out of the terps, but I always finish on high temps. For bong rips, I go high temp straight away.
As for this chart - there's been much debate around it, the accuracy is questionable at best. As soon as you have multiple compounds with different boiling points, it goes out of the window anyway because that changes the boiling points of all substances in the mix.
I use a Firewood 5 and a Firewood 7 every day. I got started with a firefly 2 that I need to send in for maintenance. Those are the only purchases I've made worth mentioning. I love them all. They've all got great temperature control. I love the way the firefly has a little app that gives a bit more precise settings, but I get right where I need to go with the firewoods too. With the Firewoods: I don't mind needing to look up how many buttons I'd need to click to set a temperature, and to be honest I haven't changed the temperatures on my presets in years. I just go between preset 1 2 or 3 depending on whether I'm inside, outside, or I'm outside and it's windy. Y'know, sometimes you want the one that connects to your phone, sometimes you want the one that doesn't. I'm thinking of saving up for the volcano next.
