Yeah I'd imagine so if there's a third party involved.

News: A recent Internet trend has people forming hurricanes in their mouths!

Definitely watch some videos or something on the combat and get ready to get frustrated! lol be cautious and watch the monsters for "tells." They will make specific movements before doing specific moves, and some monsters will have set number of attacks in a move, stuff like a nargacuga will jump 3 times. Anjanath will more than likely be the first real "wall" as he hits hard for what armor you have.

It's very satisfying when you come to learn the monster enough that you know your openings and how long you need. Getting stuck in an animation is painful lol

Good luck!

I really want to play, but I know myself too well. I'll play the beta and then go insane having to wait 3 months. I won't want to play anything else and it will just drive me nuts lol

As per the judgement: "You see, what most Americans simply don't understand is that the billionaires are the law. If there is a law that they broke, no they didn't. That is not to say that the law now goes away, it will be applied to you in force if you are not a billionaire."

If we are no longer able to, how healthy do you think our society will be?

Tech CEOs: Who the fuck cares? I got my ad revenue, I couldn't care less about society. The shareholders sure seem happy!

I'd be curious to know the relation between that and simply watching the news. Maybe it's not social media, or screen time, but simply being aware of the state of everything that is linked to anxiety and depression.

I feel like the ship of Theseus is almost easier in that the components replaced are exactly the same. Replacing computer parts involve upgrades, unless you really are nuts and want to keep your 20 year old components lol I think once upgraded parts are installed I'd consider it "new" in that it performs completely different.

To an extent I agree, everyone definitely is not the same and we absolutely should have compassion for those that are being manipulated, but on the other hand just as a personal anecdote I have a friend who has excelled much further than I have having gone through college and a masters program, while I'm "uneducated" and stuck working in a factory and he's still MAGA.

It's kind of funny in a way, if you took me on paper and him on paper you'd assume he's the lefty and I'm the right wing asshat lol

Sort of like rune factory, but it's been well over a decade since I played it so I honestly don't remember it well enough to properly compare. It was also multiplayer so that was cool if you have a friend to play with

There was a game on the 3ds called Fantasy Life that was really really cool it was like a mix of RPG/action-ish with a mini game section where you would do various crafting stuff I'd love to see that on PC with better graphics and whatnot.

Hey Lemmy! Time to do some digging!

I was sent a link from a friend about some Totally Cool™ guy who has close ties to JD Vance: Curtis Yarvin. Anyone aware of this guy and his desires? I won't put the link in here as my last post was removed because of it, but a comment within the thread is copied below.

Apparently Japanese media covered the story as was posted to Reddit, but there doesn't seem to be too much talk of this in the US.

From a comment in the reddit discussion: “Curtis Yarvin is a far-right ‘intellectual’ that wants to end democracy and install what I can only really describe as cyberpunk feudalism. He’s suggested turning the United States into a patchwork of corporate fiefdoms ruled with absolute impunity by CEOs, as well as putting mandatory ankle monitors on all unemployed and poor people. This sounds like a joke, but I’m serious. JD Vance is not just a fan of him intellectually, but also a personal friend. As someone who has known about Yarvin for several years, it’s been really concerning seeing how he could potentially become a Rasputin-like figure in the event of a Trump victory. Beyond this, Yarvin has also spent many years advocating for what sounds eerily like Project 2025.”

For those familiar with Star Citizen lore, he apparently wants to turn the US into the Stanton system “lol” …
