It's hard to know exactly what you might be doing without actually interacting with you but some of this kind of reminds me of a guy I used to work with. He didn't necessarily interrupt people or dominate the conversation so much but he was really bad for just changing the subject on a whim. It happened a lot while we were working, he would join a conversation about what we were working on and now suddenly we're talking about something else entirely
I really noticed it when we had a work night out. We were in a big group at a table and I was sitting beside him. I wasn't able to say anything that I wanted to say, not because he was interrupting me, instead it was more like I would have something to say but then the conversation would move on before I had a chance to say it.
We might be talking about New York City maybe, I would be thinking about how I lived in New York for a little while, I can certainly contribute to this conversation and then BAM we're suddenly talking about renting in our home city. Okay sure, I'm a renter, I have things to say about that and then BAM again we're now talking about UK politics or some shit and I'm getting bored.
I know maybe this doesn't describe you but maybe it's helpful to hear anyway.
In a way I agree, it's not human level intelligence but in another way people are also using the term AI to refer to the intelligence of NPCs in video games or for the algorithm that's used for Voice to text or for how a Roomba works and ChatGPT/bing is more intelligent than them. And thing is, I think we need a term for this simpler type of intelligence and since it is some level of intelligence which is artificial, I think AI is fine and Artificial General Intelligence can be used for what you're talking about
