Always bums me out because I like essential oils, just because they smell good. I feel weird having them though, multiple occasions of friends letting me know "you know those don't really work right?" And me being confused momentarily trying to figure out what they could possibly mean (it's like saying a candle doesn't work in my brain) until remembering a fuck load of people think it's medicine.

How many of the people the Mongols conquered considered themselves Mongolian?

I'm not denying the power of the US military.

Nah I think a dictatorship is effectively a real country. Somethings holding it together. I'm not saying it's good there, but there's like an intention to it.

The US is just a bunch of business deals in a trench coat. The politics and cultural meaning of the US is just a bunch of barking dogs.

No one here gives a shit enough about the country to do so. The only ones even pretending to only show it via hatred of the "other". It's an illegitimate country and everyone's aware of that, subconsciously or consciously. You don't risk your life for a culture and state that doesn't exist

S4 spoilers below

spoilerThis is due to S4 seemingly confirming the reality of Cole's "powers"

And S1 becomes a story about Rust trying to save anyone he can from an eternity of torment, since he believes that everyone has to repeat the same life over and over again, and he is in fact in a one man crusade against a cult who wants to send the most vulnerable in our society to a hellish eternal existence because they worship a 4th dimensional entity who created the universe, just so death could exist.

Literally rust versus the demiurge.

Others may have gotten this before, but I never considered a literal interpretation of it all before and it's fucking horrifying

Edit: it's also about the futility of that crusade and what saving them could even possibly mean. It's a really fucking dark show with this reading holy hell

I wish they'd have just replaced him, the character ruled even if the actor is garbage

His labels are so good "traditional meal orderers" is one of the best I've seen.

Also, note "today's no-good teens" also not wanting to use the QR code, this is Kelly saying this is intergenerational, thus you are not a boomer for agreeing, you could be a no-good teen

I've never heard someone say it that doesn't make me sound homophobic but yes, there it is.

Went from weird, interesting plots and relationships to playing with dolls

Reverse image is what I was thinking about actually, at least Googles version of it seems to be largely AI generated results, though this was me attempting to find albums based on cover art. I have not tried furniture

Using a made up percentage chance of something as evidence is also classic right wing rhetoric.

They basically yell this as the theme in your face during the crossover episode with lower decks.

I think it works fantastically as what we wish the world was like. And that's what Star Trek needs to be. It's hopeful. I was fucking sobbing on episode 2. Not because of beautiful writing or whatever, though it is VERY GOOD, just that someone addressing the fucking issues in a way that maybe there's some hope to it.

The writers of this one really are trying to be hopeful during a really fucking terrible time and I think that is awesome.

I keep using the word "hope". That's the only one for it. It's not positive. It's not even optimistic. It's hopeful. And that is enough to make me cry.

Edit: m'benga killed a fucking war criminal, in damn close to cold blood (a circumstance m'benga coerced in fact), and it was was played as good. It's good fucking TV
