We made it this way because you're stupid. Also, if you don't like it, you're stupid.

No wonder it turned out to be a pile of dogshit.

Better to have that sign up, I guess, than to have a corpse rolled through your lobby.

How can I get this motherfucker to stop showing up in my feeds? I have him and all his subs blocked, and he still wriggles into my life.

So, I see a lot of folks going on about how kbin is an awful community, or how the .social instances are cancer, and yet I've had nothing but pleasant interactions with people on this board. Any time I get drawn into a pissing match, it's always somebody running a ten-user instance, or some fool out there who thinks account age equals validity. What the fuck is up with that?

I'm not playing defense for anyone. I'm recognizing that deconstructing the corporate money-making machine will take longer than we have to fix the more immediate problem of killing off our biosphere, so working with the system, broken as it is, may be the only way forward.

I'm not debating the finer points of morality; just the reality of the situation.

I loves me some udon noodles. Drain the water and add hot sauce. Mmmmmmm....

Like that's ever stopped us from doing things for profit?

Honestly, that's what's holding us back. Make climate repair profitable, and the climate will be fixed inside of a decade.

LoL... Texas...

I mean, that would be a lot of iron....

Believe it or not, it's a laudable goal. Cow feces is responsible for about 40% (yes, really) of methane production worldwide, and methane is several times more impactful as a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. I called bullshit (heh) the first time I heard these stats, too, but they're real.

Most of the legitimate "block sunlight" proposals involve cloud seeding or spreading long-lasting particulates high in the upper atmosphere. The goal of these projects is to reflect 1-2% of sunlight, which would significantly cool the climate, but plants would hardly notice. In fact, organisms like reef systems would greatly appreciate it, as they're dying off at an extraordinary rate.

Gods, I'm fucking sick of clicking on a random "active person" on the sidebar just to be blasted with an entire paragraph about how awesome they are and why they're better than everyone else. I've seen so much "look at my halo" content over the last hour that I'm ready to barf.

The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles....

Quick question: if X isn't going to be using its previous branding, and is therefore not defending or making clear/public use of it, then does that mean it's up for grabs? If not, how long would one have to wait?

Gotta love the intellectual dishonesty of people going around making new threads to bitch about you, after reportedly blocking you, then accusing you of harassment for taking issue with it. I knew we were going to get some human garbage from the Reddit exodus, but I figured these folks would at least keep their heads down for a little while.

Anyone have a lead on life insurance that doesn't disappear in the event of suicide? I've been out of work for months, and while we still have a pretty decent nest egg, I'd like to have all of my options on the table to support my family.

I love stalkers. People like @Hellsadvocate and @stopthatgirl7 going around downvoting everything I've ever posted gives me a warm and fuzzy... means I'm making an impact. Thanks, guys!
