I actually noticed recently that it's no longer maintained so I'll have to find another desktop solution.

Just report and move on
You don't have to be far left to not want to make a space for bigotry. People are deciding for themselves that they want nothing to do with right wing instances - nothing you can do about it.
Virtual buttons on a touch screen just feels like an artifact of an earlier generation of phone games. I have friends that play a lot of Tetris on mobile and all of their modern non-foss tetris games use swipe controls.
The UI of Blockinger leaves a lot to be desired. The ability to swipe to interact would be a huge improvement over the buttons taking up half the screen.
Mods here may not appreciate this post since it's pretty off topic, but I'm sure glad to have seen this!
For me at least jerboa isn't really functional for searching for new communities, let alone instances. You're better off in your mobile browser. And even then you'll only find instances that are already federated with your home instance (meaning someone on you home instance will have had to search and subscribe to one of the communities on the instance you're trying to find). Your best bet for finding instances is actually outside websites like https://join-lemmy.org/instances or other websites dedicated to listing and sorting instances.
Syncthing solves this problem for me without my keyring being exposed to any outside servers.
My back pain is generally much more related to my legs than I expect. Like others here are suggesting I've had good luck with yoga and stretching, but I've had the most success with poses that stretch my glutes, thighs, and calves.
On desktop I use Tildes. It's fairly minimalistic in terms of features, but very smooth and attractive UI. It does what I need with no headaches and looks great doing it. Like many others here I use AntennaPod on mobile.
We harvested some mullein from the side of an old quarry recently. Dug up a young one and have it in a pot now, cut off a couple flower stalks and put them in water and have been plucking the flowers as they continue to bloom, and made bundles of the leaves to dry. There was so much there we couldn't have taken 2% haha. They love growing up where the ground has been recently disturbed. In this case they were all growing up out of mostly loose rocks downhill from the road. Very useful plant and abundant around us.
I've played a good bit of FTL and never felt like I knew what I was doing.
