I'm really worried about the state of GTA 6 if and when it ever comes out. It's all about money and not the games for Rockstar now and it's been that way for some time.

It's because companies like Meta want all the power they can get. As you said, there's no reason for them to join the fediverse, other than to control it or kill it off, that is.

I'm not against Threads existing, especially with the way Twitter is going. People need an alternative and I don't believe that Mastodon is the answer for many.

But Threads and the fediverse can absolutely exist separately, and is why I support defederation.

I think there was word that they were going to add that functionality at some point.

I had the same experience with it being my first Yakuza game. Really looking forward to what they have in store for 8.

From an outsider's perspective, the US seem to be doing a great job improving the national team while your league steadily improves. Those things often go hand in hand, and is probably the best way to do it. The Saudi approach may improve their league, but may not improve the standard of their national team.

Yes, most who use this approach usually burn themselves out extremely quickly. It's testament to Tom and his content that he has been able to keep this going for 10 years.

If Spez is stupid enough to do what he's done so far, then I indeed think it's a possibility.

The fact Spez has come out saying he admires Musk's work at Twitter is insane. Once the third-party apps stop working it's going to get a whole lot worse over there too.

Rexit means Rexit.

People say Top Day works a lot better.

Yep. Definitely feels how it did before the corporate world learned how to take advantage of the online space. Feels good that we now have a solution to that ever growing issue.

The only good news on the Google side of things is that they have tweaked their algorithm somewhat.

As someone who works in the industry, I know they've been working to drop all that terrible content that meanders on forever to get to the point, instead boosting more concise pages.
