I thought about putting them there, but they don't restrict people to making right only topics. It's just that the crazies are more inclined to join that kind of place.

I've got multiple accounts for different instances, but this is my main one just because they allow me to post content 99% of the other instances really don't want to deal with.

 

I tried making a compass to represent some of the instances. Didn't know of any that I think would qualify as auth-right (strictly enforces rightist values).

In the meantime, while I understand may not be ideal for everyone, users who choose to participate on the beehaw instance will be required to register a separate account on their instance.

Might I also suggest alternatives such as lemmy.blahaj.zone which is open to anyone to register without explanation as long as, y'know, you're not an asshole. Though it sounds like beehaw might block them in the future given their stance, but for now they're federated.

I am biased in this situation, but I just think leaving it to the individual to block specific communities is better than blocking an entire instance for every user.
