Do a movie where Ryan and Hugh fall in love in a New England town.

Burnt out detective: “Lieutenant, what do we got?”

Same energy as me holding Ctrl and pressing S seven times just to make sure.

Has anyone had the bright idea of taking their cat to the vet in the cardboard box it refuses to get out of?

This guy’s got a lot of Will Ferrell energy.

You didn’t tell it to point at the tail, so it pointed to it (the cat). Task failed successfully.

“I’ll make a supersonic man out of you!”

I think I’ve just assumed she was gay for the last five years or so.

“I have an important announcement to make. I’m gay.”

“We kinda already knew.”

Without Kojima, that’s simply not going to happen.

Oh, I get it now. I thought you just sent the whole soundtrack to the game (which is also a valid response).

Or someone found out it’s connected to the open web and sent it a gigantic print job.

And they were moved to before the film started for a reason. :)

Because Rule

From Garfield's Halloween Adventure (1985).

From Garfield's Halloween Adventure (1985).

Some of you here are going to be rather interested in the choices for Nacelle Toys first wave of Star Trek figurines.

The complete list

  1. Captain Edward Jellico (comes with Picard's fish tank and finger painting from Picard Day)
  2. Midshipman Peter Preston (comes with battle damage for the chest and head)
  3. Valkris (her "special feature" is "saying goodbye")
  4. Captain Rachael Garrett (comes with fatal debris)
  5. Tuvix (comes with "unique uniform" (and a lot of moral dilemma))
  6. Mirror Captain Jonathan Archer (wearing the green TOS tunic, comes with poisoned champagne)
  7. Weyoun (special feature is "sliminess", also coincidentally figure number 007)
  8. Captain Hikaru Sulu (comes with a tea cup and saucer)

Apart from the obvious WTFness of this list, it's funny how apart from the first and last figure all of these character met an untimely demise.

Yes, it's a real video.

Screenshot of a Mastodon post - A picture of the bridge of the Enterprise-D from Star Trek The Next Generation’s first season. In it are Captain Picard, Doctor Crusher, and Wesley Crusher in the Captain’s chair.

The text reads:
“Wil Wheaton is now five years older than Patrick Stewart was in the pilot of Star Trek the next generation. Have your bones demineralized and fallen apart yet?”

Screenshot of Lemmy via Voyager of a meme and one of the comments replying to it.

The meme is a picture of an invertebrate and reads:
“This is Suzy. Suzy is a basal amniote.

She enjoys sitting in the sun, catching bugs, and laying eggs with extraembryonic membranes.

312 million years ago Suzy had two kids. One evolved into you and the other into a T-Rex. If Suzy isn’t metal as fuck I don’t know who is.”

The reply to this meme reads:
“Yeah, it seemed weird that Janeway and Tom Paris turned into this, but I get it now.”

This man is old enough to have voted for Roosevelt in 1944! (I assume he voted Democrat)

It cannot be overstated how limited budgets led to some of the best writing on TV. And this episode is one of the best-written in the entire franchise.

It's also my absolute favorite shot of Uhura:

Lieutenant Uhura, sitting at the Navigation console, watching the Romulan ship explode on the viewscreen along with Lieutenant Sulu and Captain Kirk at their respective stations.

Ensign Skippy was getting a little too political, so Uhura replaced him and fired the death blow against the Romulan Bird of Prey. And she just leans back and takes it in during this dolly shot of the bridge. Stone Cold.
