seeds are unusable with challenges
They are less useful, but you can still convert them to potions. If you get a set of three of the same, you can even guarantee which potion you get, as well as identify it.

Thankfully, golems are easy to avoid! I wouldn't want to face that beast.
I'll try it next time I get the wand. Following your advice, I want to learn to use it properly.
I always go with Nature's Power. Having extra speed and bow fire rate can be very helpful, especially when you miss with your missile weapon and you can't recover it right away.
/me bows in reverence!
Good points. I hadn't realized that going through a door restarts the timer! For removing piles of debris, the disintegration wand is also useful.
Well done, congrats! I didn't have the stamina to ascend on my T1 run, getting the amulet was enough for me...
Gotcha -- for me it was the first time. Also, I was thinking that maybe I had food issues early on because I started with a single RoH +0, so fights in the jail took a long time. Once I had both rights with a few upgrades, things got better. I seem to recall your seed gives you both rings at +2 early on, right?
Good luck with Yog! When I got the RoH + RoSS and saw how well they work together, I thought you had been right to plan your run around those :-)
Blazing is super powerful, but I tend to avoid it (unless I also get brimstone) because (1) my hero always ends up burning at least 2-3 times per game, always at the worst times, and (2) fire reduces dew drop opportunities and burns scrolls that you haven't picked up. This is also why I tend to about the wand of fireblast. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, though!
This strategy sounds like it would definitely work for a T1 run. Combining ring of arcana with camouflage and rogue abilities is quite ingenious. Getting all the pieces does require a good amount of luck, though (I like to go with the roll of the dice and don't often play known seeds).
One question, isn't this a bit slow and repetitive to play? Having to wait nine rounds per enemy sounds like a lot of waiting.
Throwing a weapon or armor into the web creates a "hole" in it through which the hero, wands and missile weapons can go through.
