The problem is that swing voters focus on only one issue, and it's the issue that impacts them the most. It might be just the genocide in Gaza and how the current administration is handling it. Or might be just healthcare. Or just women's rights. Or the economy. They don't seem to look at the big picture and can't weigh their personal feelings against all the issues as a whole. They can't say "I'll take a hit on the economy if women's rights and abortions are better for the people as a whole ". It's often what impacts them most. From what I've read, the economy is the biggest issue and as long a they think they might be better off with Trump, they'll vote for him, regardless of the impact to everyone else.

I still remember when Xi made himself president for life and Trump said at a rally, "maybe we oughtta try that some day."

Nah, they've already accepted Jesus Christ as their savior. That's basically their get out of jail free card. It's why a lot of them are horrible vile hateful people.

This country is failing a lot of people. The only ones who really benefit are the rich.

Well this has more than likely gotten him a lot of new Trump fans too. Any publicity is good publicity.

I'm waiting for this to happen. The old Republican supporters don't realize or care that the GOP will cut their Medicare and Social Security as well. By the time they figure it out, it'll be too late. Or hell, maybe they won't care because they were able to take advantage even though they'll be dead soon, just as long as anyone else won't have anything to help.

Is anyone surprised? Just about every millionaire/billionaire business person is going to vote Trump because he's told them repeatedly he's going to cut their taxes. That's bad news for the rest of us working people because our taxes will have to go up to make up for those cuts.

Sure, it's annoying they're saying this now but I don't mind it. How much of this is just lip service though and will they still vote Trump? And Trump supporters won't listen to them anyway. Once you turn on Trump, you're a traitor to them and they don't want anything to do with you.

Trump supporters love him so much because "he tells it like it is". I doubt they're going to love Walz because of that same line of thinking. Oh that's right, because he doesn't have the R in front of his name. He's also not a racist, which is probably why they really love Trump.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 weeks ago

They'll continue to cover him because he's a cash cow.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 weeks ago

I guess it was kind of a day of love because his supporters love him and loved beating up and killing capitol police and loved storming the capitol and loved breaking into offices and stealing laptops and smearing shit on walls and breaking things and trashing the place and wanting to hang Pence...

They're just mad because he didn't use a gun to do it.

Lawyers representing state legislative leaders were in court Thursday in Raleigh, arguing to throw out an anti-gerrymandering lawsuit that targets the state's new political districts.

The lawsuit argues that the state constitution guarantees the right to fair elections, and it says the new districts violate that promise. The Republican-led legislature argues that no such right exists, since it's impossible to define what "fair" means.

Anyone else have this issue? I did a quick search so I apologize if it's a known issue, but I can set my post sort to Top Day in my user settings, but it eventually defaults to Active.
