At work we all pronounce zsh “zish” like dish but with a z.

sudo is sue-doo, not sue-dough or pseudo

SSH is just s-s-h

Because those Americans are entitled, insecure, ignorant, xenophobic assholes.

Walter watches Jesse’s girlfriend Jane choke on her own puke as she’s overdosing and does nothing to help her.

He was sneaking around in their home and did not want to risk getting caught, so he almost intervened, but then decides against it, and regrets doing nothing as she dies in front of him.

He later reveals this to Jesse during a conflict.

From Jesse’s perspective, he had just woken up and she was dead, choked on her own vomit.

Walter tells him he watched it happen and essentially admits that he could have helped.

Yup. That was Grade-A bullshit from the seller. People will say anything to try to sell you a “superior” product.

Just to add a bit of discussion on the modem vs. modem + router thing. I know it’s a pain to have to get two devices; cost is higher; also two things to worry about hooking up/configuring.

At my previous place I bought a Motorola modem in 2012 or so. I kept that modem for 10 years and it chugged along delivering the speeds I paid for. Because it simply had an Ethernet port on the back of it, it meant that I went through 3 or 4 routers in that period. Some were replaced because I got a router for free from a friend and wanted to install custom firmware. Some were swapped in because the previous one failed, and the last one was added because I upgraded to a Ubiquiti Edge Router and two separate WAPs.

None of this would have been possible with a combo device.

Again, I’m not trying to convince you or anyone else that this is a path for everyone, just adding a different way of viewing the two devices situation. It offers you flexibility and plug-ability.

Ummmm… this works amazingly well.

I generated an API key, and ran the docker command; that’s it… done, working perfectly.

I’ve never used sponsorblock before, but it’s hilarious how well this works. It’s like an aggressive jump cut 🤣 and the poor segue to the sponsor segment doesn’t even survive.

I realize you’re likely referring to music formats/players, but…

I’ve wanted to get some Zip disks and a USB drive to just have fun with the nostalgia. Same with Minidiscs. Every time I see a Techmoan video with Minidiscs I say to myself “you don’t need them… you don’t need them…”

Is Chromium not an option?

That’s probably what Nativefier and most Electron apps you’re likely already using like Slack, Discord, VS Code, 1Password, Signal, etc. is using under the hood anyway.

Nice!

I’m also a sim racer and mainly use iRacing. I also manage a site that posts schedules and setups for the (low participation) Kamel GT series on iRacing.

You may have misinterpreted what I said; I probably wasn’t clear enough.

If NSFW content isn’t available through a 3rd party app, I’m assuming that usage will fall (as the user looks elsewhere), hence less overall API requests.

I’m not trying to say that because the API responses won’t contain as many NSFW posts, it’ll save data or anything (still sending a full “page” of responses at a time).

Your point still stands however! If the user leaves the 3rd party app and goes straight to the 1st party app instead, yeah it’s a wash and they are serving the requests anyway.
